Hair knots

So I got bangs. I was about to chop off all my hair bc my hair was getting so knotted after each washing but opted for bangs instead. Baby steps

I also saw a cool idea to pull your hair in a low pony. Separate into two pieces once in a pony and tie the two pieces in a knot. Secure ends of two pieces with bobby pins. My left over end pieces were still long enough to sort of wrap around the knotted bun.

I think it turned out cute and a nice clean updo for work too!

Hair tutorial day 2

I've been trying to do something more with this hair of mine. Down is boring and blah after so many weeks. So today I tried a half up twist into a twisty bun and secured with hair pins. Super easy. I just pulled back both sides in a twisting manner and joined them at the back of my head. Then I twisted the two pieces into one and wrapped around and around into a bun using only 2 pins to secure. It stayed all day and made for a cute style.

PS its hard to get pics of the back of your own head using an iphone!

DIY waterfall braid

I have really been intrigued with all these fun braid tutorials I have seen on line (hmmm pinterest, LOL).  I decided to give it a go. If you know how to french braid you can do this it just takes some getting used to letting go of that one piece and picking up an entirely new piece. And my hair (layers) is finally long enough to do this. I plan on sportin' this look more often.Just google WATERFALL braid to find the tutorials.  Youtube is the best!
